The Arc Rapides’ mission is to provide individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities with a place of work and enrichment. We are dedicated to creating, through education, advocacy, and support, a greater Central Louisiana community that includes, accepts, and celebrates people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

🌟 October Highlights at The Arc Rapides! 🌟

Fall is here, and October is packed with fun, creativity, and celebrations for our participants! Here are some of the exciting activities happening this month:

🎶 Music & Movement

• Mrs. Janes’ Music Class and Tournament Practice every Thursday.

• Afternoon gym activities on Fridays, including a trip to the Zoo (Oct. 3), Gone Wild Safari (Oct. 17), and our October Birthday Party (Oct. 24).

🎨 Creative Expression

• Weekly Art Classes at River Oaks on Tuesdays.

• Pumpkin Patch Visit and Pumpkin Painting on Oct. 27.

• Special “All Hands on Deck” Pumpkin & Games Day on Oct. 30.

🎉 Special Events

• Bingo Days (Oct. 1 & Oct. 15).

• Bowling Days (Oct. 8 & Oct. 22).

• Rapides Parish Fair Outing (Oct. 9).

• September Awards Ceremony (Oct. 10).

• Sports Day at River Oaks (Oct. 28).

• End the month with our spooktacular Halloween Bash on Oct. 31 (11:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.)! 👻🎃

⚾ Sports & Outings

• Afternoon Softball Practices on Oct. 6, 13, and 20.

• Outings to Target (Oct. 6) and Sonic (Oct. 20).

This month is all about creativity, connection, and a little Halloween magic. We can’t wait to see everyone’s smiles as we celebrate October together! 🧡
